  • Community statement in response to newspaper article Community Statement of ReassuranceThis is a community statement in response to a bullying article published in a newspaper in this week.  We received a request for a statement in regards to an allegation of bullying towards one of our students.However, what has been represented in the article by the media, is inaccurate and misinformed.On behalf of the Board, we want to reassure our community that our processes and communications to date, have involved the Ministry of Education (MoE), the Resource Teachers of Learning and Behaviour (RTLB) service and the Senior Leadership team.  Our efforts have concentrated on reaching the best outcome for the family’s child.The following statement is our response to the reporter’s quest ...

  • Prizegiving This Wednesday evening we hold our formal Prizegiving.  If your child is receiving an award, a letter went home on Friday inviting you to attend.  All students are welcome to attend and support their classmates.  Full school uniform is required.PrizegivingWednesday 13th December6pm - 8pmCongratulations to all of our students.

  • John Parsons Internet Safety Talk Tomorrow evening, Thursday 30th November, we are hosting a presentation from John Parsons.  During this workshop, he will raise awareness of the dangers associated with the inappropriate use of Digital Communication Technology and discuss solutions to reduce risk.John is the author of "Keeping Your Children Safe Online; a guide for New Zealand Parents" and was named a "Paul Harris Fellow" by Rotary International for his work in child protection online and in the community.All parents are warmly invited to attend, please RSVP with numbers to events@pakurangaint.school.nz
