We are now in Term 3 and staff and students will be very busy this term with learning and extra-curricular activities.  Please remember to check the school calendar here regularly for upcoming events and if you have not done so yet, download the school app to receive important reminders straight to your phone.  The app is free and available on apple, android and windows phones but remember you need to turn on notifications.

It is still very cold in the mornings and we encourage students to wear a plain black or navy scarf, beanie and gloves when needed as well as plenty of layers underneath the school uniform that cannot be seen.

Student-led conferences will be held in week 2 this term.  There will be a notice coming out this week with further details and we encourage all students to attend with their whānau to discuss their goals for the rest of the year and make a plan to achieve these.  This is an excellent way to follow-up on our celebration of learning and provides the vital connection to home that we know makes a difference in student learning.

Lastly a few reminders to ensure the school is running smoothly:
  • Cellphones are to be handed in to the office before school and collected after 3pm.  They are kept in a named bag and locked for the day.
  • All visitors to the school must sign in at the office.
  • If a student is going to be absent for the day, please call the office or use the school app to let us know.
  • The tuckshop is open before school for lunch orders and during breaks for snacks.  We encourage students to bring a healthy lunch and do not allow fizzy drinks or lollies at school.
  • School starts at 8:40am.  All students must arrive before this time.
