Camp 2015

Camp 2015 is going to be FANTASTIC!
What an amazing opportunity for your child to get involved, make friends, push personal boundaries and learn new things.   What better way to do this than with your friends by your side; supporting you.

Camp 2015 is going to be held on Motutapu Island in the Hauraki Gulf, over the week of Monday August 24th - Friday August 28th.  This is week 6 of Term 3.  The whole school has been given the opportunity to attend camp for the first time ever.

So where is Motutapu Island exactly?
Motutapu Outdoor Education Camp is located in a bay in its own private valley on the coast of Motutapu Island.  It is a beautiful island; rich in history and more importantly a sanctuary for many wildlife species. Motutapu, Maori for "sacred island" is an island in the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park. Adjoined via a land-bridge to Auckland's most iconic island Rangitoto and administered by the Department of Conservation both islands form a pest free recreation reserve that is home to some of the countries endangered bird species such as Takahe and Saddleback (Tieke).
